Bunita

Adoption $15.00 monthly

Bunita is a female Eastern Cottontail that came to Peace River Wildlife Center in 2021 with neurological issues. With her altered ideation, Bunita would be easy prey in the wild. She now has a cozy rabbit hutch on display at PRWC. You can come see her laying out or bouncing around while visiting from the boardwalk!

PUBLIC VISITS & TOURS AVAILABLE!

The PRWC Education Center located at 3400 Ponce de Leon Parkway is now open daily to the public from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

We do ask that large groups requesting a guided tour call the office at 941-637-3830 to set up a reservation. Click here to learn more

Guests are no longer required to wear facial coverings while touring the facility.

Pet Policy
For the safety and care of our wildlife as well as our visitors, we cannot allow any pets to visit Peace River Wildlife Center. Although we love animals, our wildlife naturally perceive your pet as a predator.

We permit ADA defined service dogs who are task-specific assist trained into our center to comply with ADA laws.

All other animals, including comfort and support animals, are not permitted.
