Cruiser

Adoption $20.00 monthly

Cruiser, a male American Kestrel, came to us in 2017 as an adult. He was found on the side of the road with a broken wing. The person who found him transported him to us in the saddlebags of his motorcycle, hence the name Cruiser. Our Hospital Manager, Valerie Wolfrey took Cruiser home to begin glove-training him. With Cruiser being an adult, this process was more difficult. After a few months, Cruiser came back to the wildlife center to stay as an ambassador and resident.

PUBLIC VISITS & TOURS AVAILABLE!

The PRWC Education Center located at 3400 Ponce de Leon Parkway is now open daily to the public from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are gratefully accepted.

We do ask that large groups requesting a guided tour call the office at 941-637-3830 to set up a reservation. Click here to learn more

Guests are no longer required to wear facial coverings while touring the facility.

Pet Policy
For the safety and care of our wildlife as well as our visitors, we cannot allow any pets to visit Peace River Wildlife Center. Although we love animals, our wildlife naturally perceive your pet as a predator.

We permit ADA defined service dogs who are task-specific assist trained into our center to comply with ADA laws.

All other animals, including comfort and support animals, are not permitted.
